Renville County Farm Fall Results in Serious Injury, Airlifted to Trauma Center
On the morning of August 9, 2024, a serious accident occurred at a rural farm site in Renville County.
Around 7:56 AM, the Renville County Sheriff’s Office received an emergency call reporting that a man had fallen approximately nine feet from a roof and suffered severe injuries.
The incident took place at a location on the 45000 block of County Road 11, just north of Hector.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered 35-year-old Jerman Lieser of Paynesville lying on the ground near a scissor lift. Initial investigations indicated that Lieser was working on the roof of a building when he fell, hitting his head on the scissor lift during the fall.
Due to the critical nature of his injuries, Lieser was promptly airlifted to a trauma center for specialized medical treatment.
The response to the accident involved several agencies, including Hector Ambulance, Hector Fire & Rescue, the Minnesota State Patrol, and North Memorial Air Care.
