Get Ready for Farmfest 2024: Three Days of Farming Excellence
Get ready for Farmfest 2024, set to take place from August 6-8 at the Gilfillan Estate in Redwood County, MN. Organized by IDEAg Group, this annual event promises to bring together the best in agribusiness from Minnesota and beyond, offering a unique platform for networking, learning, and showcasing the latest in agricultural products and technology.
Event Highlights:
- Exhibitions and Demonstrations: With over 500 exhibitors spread across 50 acres, Farmfest is the place to see cutting-edge products and services. Live demonstrations will run throughout each day, giving attendees hands-on experiences with the latest farming equipment and techniques.
- Educational Sessions: Insightful forums and panels will cover a range of agricultural topics, including candidate forums for the Minnesota primary election races, offering a space for important discussions on the future of farming.

Police Respond to Firearm Incident at Marshall Hotel

Marshall Police and the regional Emergency Response Unit from Brown, Lyon, Redwood, and Renville counties responded to a firearm discharge incident at a hotel in Marshall late Thursday night.
The incident occurred around 12:33 AM on August 2 in the 1500 block of East College Drive.
Officers engaged with two females who were in the hotel room at the time of the firearm discharge.
No injuries were reported, and authorities confirmed that there is no immediate danger to the public.
The investigation continues, with no arrests made as of right now.
