Pickup Rolls in Ditch After Crash Near Redwood Falls

A two-vehicle crash on Minnesota Highway 19 near Redwood Falls resulted in injuries to a Wabasso man on Friday afternoon, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The incident occurred around 4:20 PM near the intersection of Highway 19 and Laser Trail. A 2014 Dodge pickup traveling westbound, driven by a 24-year-old Marshall man, and a 2007 GMC Envoy heading eastbound, driven by a 61-year-old Wabasso man, collided. Following the impact, both vehicles went into the ditch, and the pickup rolled.
The driver of the Envoy was transported to the Redwood Falls emergency room with injuries that were not life-threatening. The driver of the pickup and two passengers were not injured.
Responding agencies included the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, Redwood Falls Police Department, and CentraCare ambulance service.
Rustic Hideaway Says Goodbye to Storefront, Looks Ahead to Online Future

The Rustic Hideaway Boutique in downtown Marshall saw a steady flow of visitors Monday as owner Sarah Kesteloot began the process of closing her storefront.
After six years in business, the boutique will transition to an online-only model, citing lasting changes in consumer habits following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Foot traffic at the store never fully recovered after the pandemic, as many customers grew accustomed to shopping online.
Though the physical location on Third Street will close, the Rustic Hideaway Boutique will continue to operate through its website and social media channels.
Kesteloot is also considering participating in future vendor events to stay connected with customers.
To clear out inventory, the boutique hosted a sale early in the week and plans to remain open a bit longer. Customers can stay updated through the store’s website or Facebook page.
The closure is part of a broader pattern of changes in Marshall’s downtown business scene.
While some boutiques have shut their doors or relocated, new ventures have also emerged.
Earlier this year, Crystal Cauldron moved into the former Coco Avenue location, and RLee’s Emporium opened on Main Street.
Other long-standing businesses have either closed or changed hands, such as the sale of Bot Appliance and the upcoming closure of Patzer’s Hardware Hank.
