Les Schwab Launches New Location on South Side of Marshall
A new Les Schwab Tire Center is now open on the south side of Marshall, located near U.S. Highway 59.
The facility quietly began operations on April 16 and celebrated its official opening with a ribbon-cutting event on Friday, joined by members of the Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Marshall shop features seven service bays and a staff of nine, supported by both a manager and an assistant manager.
Services available at the location include tire sales and installation, alignments, brake repairs, battery replacements, and general automotive maintenance.
Les Schwab Tire Centers, established in Oregon in 1952, has steadily expanded throughout the western and midwestern United States.
The company now operates several Minnesota locations, including stores in Willmar, Hutchinson, Worthington, and Fairmont.
Hot, Dry Conditions Spark Multiple Grass Fires on Sunday
High temperatures and elevated fire danger conditions on Sunday sparked several grass fires across the state.
In Douglas County, a vehicle became stuck near Highway 27 and, during attempts to return to the roadway, ignited surrounding grass.
The resulting fire destroyed the car, though the driver sustained only minor injuries.
Meanwhile, in St. Louis County, firefighters responded to a fire at Lakeland Mobile Home Park in Biwabik Township.
A grass fire had spread beneath a trailer, causing slight structural damage. Two individuals were treated for minor injuries.
