Three Injured in Four-Vehicle Collision on Highway 23

Three individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a four-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday morning in Kandiyohi County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The incident happened at approximately 7:50 AM on Highway 23. A westbound 2008 Chevy Impala, driven by a 36-year-old Willmar resident, was attempting to pass another vehicle when it collided with two eastbound vehicles: a 2010 Ford Escape driven by a 65-year-old woman from Clara City and a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by a 34-year-old driver.
A fourth vehicle, a 2019 Buick Envision driven by a 43-year-old Granite Falls resident, veered into the ditch while trying to avoid the crash.
The drivers of the Impala, Ford, and Jeep were transported to CentraCare Hospital in Willmar with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The driver of the Buick was not injured.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, Willmar Fire Department, Raymond Ambulance, Raymond Fire Department, and the Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad.

A man from Iona was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon in Murray County, Minnesota. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 1:45 PM when a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup, traveling south on Highway 267, veered off the road and collided with a tree.
The driver, identified as a 56-year-old resident of Iona, sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
He was airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls for medical treatment.
Emergency response units from several local agencies were dispatched to the scene, including the Murray County Sheriff’s Office, Murray County Ambulance, Iona Fire and First Responders, Slayton Fire Department, and North Memorial Air Care.
