Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon near Heron Lake. The accident occurred around 12:30 PM when a 2024 Ford Maverick traveling westbound on Highway 60 collided with a 2015 Honda CR-V heading northbound on 10th Street.
The Honda's driver, an 85-year-old man, and his 73-year-old passenger, both from Slayton, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital in Windom. The driver of the Ford, a 57-year-old woman from New Ulm, was not injured.
Emergency assistance at the scene was provided by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Heron Lake Police, Fire, and Ambulance, as well as Windom Ambulance.

A 20-year-old man from Marshall is facing serious charges in Meeker County District Court related to alleged sexual activity with a 12-year-old child.
Jonah Thomas Nauman has been charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
According to the criminal complaint, Nauman contacted the victim through social media and later traveled to meet them on two separate occasions, reportedly in Grove City and Paynesville, where the alleged incidents occurred.
Nauman made a court appearance on December 23, during which bail was set at $500,000 without conditions or $250,000 with conditions.
