Marshall District Responds to Social Media Threat with Extra Security

On Tuesday morning, social media posts spread vague threats about a potential school shooting, leading Marshall police and the school district to launch an immediate investigation.
The posts were not specifically tied to any Marshall schools, and officials found no credible evidence to support the claims.
However, as a precaution, police increased patrols around local schools while classes continued as normal.
District leaders emphasized the importance of student safety and reassured families that building security measures were in place.
Parents were encouraged to discuss the importance of reporting suspicious activity.
