Granite Falls Goes Squid Crazy for Squidfest & Ribfest on September 14

Granite Falls is gearing up for a unique double-feature event on September 14—Squidfest and Ribfest!

Starting at 10:00 AM with a 5K race, the day is packed with fun: food trucks, live music, kids' art, and the Steve Virnig Memorial Disc Golf Tournament.

Attendees can also join the quest to solve the mystery of Todd the Squid, a quirky local legend that has charmed Granite Falls.

Pick up a clue sheet at the K.K. Berge Building and explore businesses to uncover the mystery! The evening wraps up with mouthwatering ribs and tunes from DJ Dave.

Todd’s Legend: In 2021, a squid mysteriously appeared in the Minnesota River, and ever since, “Todd” has been a community sensation. From messing with pelicans to leaving chalk messages, Todd’s playful antics have been embraced by the town, making him the inspiration for the newly rebranded SquidFest.
