Marshall Police on the Hunt for Hotel Gunshot Suspect

Marshall Police are currently on the lookout for a suspect involved in a gunshot incident at a local hotel earlier this month.

The investigation is ongoing, and the authorities have not disclosed many details.

However, they have issued an arrest warrant for Ed Lawrence Robert Tores, Jr., who is facing charges including illegal discharge of a firearm, possession of dangerous weapons, and second-degree assault.

Tores has been added to the Marshall Police Department’s “Most Wanted” list, and his photo and description are available on their website.

The incident took place in the early hours of August 2nd at a hotel on East College Drive.

A firearm was discharged in a hotel room, but thankfully, no one was injured.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found two females in the room, but the circumstances surrounding the gunshot remain under investigation.

Central and Southern Minnesota Endure Intense Thunderstorms

Severe thunderstorms rolled through central and southern Minnesota on Monday night, bringing intense winds and large hail.

Wind speeds hit 65 mph in Silver Lake, 63 mph in Eden Prairie, and 62 mph near Willmar.

The storms also delivered significant hail, with stones up to 1.75 inches in diameter reported in Lester Prairie and Parkers Prairie.

Funnel clouds were spotted near Essig and Kerkhoven, adding to the chaos. The storms caused widespread damage, knocking down trees in Waconia, Isanti, and North Branch.

Nearly 100,000 Xcel Energy customers experienced power outages, and the State Fair's Happy Together Grandstand concert was canceled due to the severe weather.
