Marshall Experiences 12th Wettest June on Record

Despite significant rainfall in Marshall this summer, June didn't break any precipitation records.
The city received 6.78 inches of rain, making it the 12th wettest June on record.
The wettest June was in 1957 with 13.83 inches, followed by 1993 and 2014.
NWS forecasts indicate hotter weather ahead, with temperatures reaching the 90s over the weekend. This summer's highest temperature so far was 94 degrees, recorded on June 13 and 25.
The NOAA's precipitation outlook for mid-July predicts near-normal conditions for the upper Midwest, with above-normal temperatures expected in Minnesota.
GMC Yukon Loses Wheel, Causes Crash on Highway 14

Two vehicles collided on U.S. Highway 14 Sunday afternoon after a GMC Yukon lost a wheel, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The incident occurred at 12:51 p.m. when a 2006 GMC Yukon, driven by Brent James McMahon, 49, of Minneota, lost a wheel while traveling eastbound.
The detached wheel struck a westbound Ford F150 driven by Katherine Anna May, 33, of Sioux Falls.
There were no reported injuries; however, a passenger in the Ford was taken to Avera Marshall Medical Center. Responding to the crash were the Balaton Fire Department, Balaton Ambulance, and Tyler Ambulance.
