Downtown Housing Proposal Back for Council Review
The Marshall City Council is revisiting a proposal for a new housing complex.
The project, which includes affordable housing units, faced previous concerns about design and financing.
The developers have since revised their plans to address these issues.
If approved, the complex will provide much-needed housing options and contribute to downtown revitalization efforts.
The council is set to make a final decision in the coming weeks, aiming to balance community needs and project feasibility.
Former Slayton Teacher's Trial for Criminal Sexual Conduct Set for November

A trial date has been scheduled for November 4-8 for a former Slayton teacher accused of criminal sexual conduct involving a minor.
The teacher made his first court appearance in October 2023, where details of the allegations were discussed.
The charges have raised significant concern within the community due to the serious nature of the accusations and the involvement of a former educator.
Jury selection is expected to occur prior to the trial, which will determine the next steps for the defendant.
