USDA Grants $50 Million to Boost Farmworker Support

Exciting news from the USDA – they’re awarding $50 million to 141 recipients across 40 states and Puerto Rico through the Farm Labor Stabilization and Protection Pilot Program.
This funding supports 177 agricultural operations and over 11,000 workers, aiming to strengthen the U.S. food supply chain by addressing labor challenges and improving protections for farmworkers.
Launched in September 2023, the program promotes safe work environments, ethical recruitment, and legal migration pathways like the H-2A visa program. It also focuses on better pay, working conditions, and additional benefits for farmworkers.
For a complete list of awardees and more information about the USDA’s initiatives, visit the USDA website.
