A Weekend of Family Fun and Entertainment with the Russell Bandwagon Days
Gear up for a weekend of fun, food, and festivities at Russell Bandwagon Days from June 7 to June 9. This annual event in Russell, MN, promises a fun lineup of activities for all ages!
Check out these events that are happening all weekend long:
Let your kids jump around on the inflatables on 2nd Street Park
Watch the little ones showcase their skills at the Kiddie Tractor Pull on Saturday, with registration starting at 9:30 AM and the pull at 10 AM.
Face painting sessions at 2nd Street Park from 11 AM to 2 PM.
Anglers, get ready for the Fishing Tournament on Sunday at the Russell Lake Parking Lot from 10 AM to noon.
Foodies Rejoice!
Indulge in the deliciousness from a variety of food trucks, including favorites like:
Taqueria El Tarasco
Rolling Hills Pizza
Lake Days Eats & Sweets
and more…
Friday Highlights:
Kick off the excitement with the Birch Coulee Ranch Rodeo, where the action starts with signup from 5 PM to 6 PM and the rodeo at 6:30 PM.
Compete or cheer on participants at the Bean Bag Tournament on Front Street, with registration at 6 PM and games starting at 6:30 PM.
Saturday Extravaganza:
Shop local and support talented vendors at the Shop Local Vendor Event from 9 AM to noon at the community center, featuring 13 unique vendors.
Get active with the Kickball Tournament starting at 10 AM.
Test your luck at Bingo at 1 PM and 3 PM.
Enjoy the Bierma Rodeo at 5 PM at the Russell Rodeo arena.
Lastly, dance the night away at the Street Dance on Front Street from 8 PM to midnight.
Sunday Funday:
Kick off the day with a delicious Breakfast under the tent from 8 AM to 11 AM.
Check out the Car Show on 3rd Street from 10:30 AM to noon.
Don't miss the highlight of the weekend, the Parade at 1 PM, starting at Grevley Livestock.

Supporting Tragic Collision Victim: GoFundMe for Morgan Grunewald's Family
As mentioned in yesterday's issue, a female driver identified as Morgan Grunewald tragically lost her life in a collision on June 3, 2024, at the intersection of MN Hwy 68 and Redwood CR 6 in Vail Township, Redwood County.
In support of Morgan’s family during this difficult time, a GoFundMe has been set up to help cover funeral costs, medical expenses, and provide ongoing support.
