Revving Up: Marshall's Shades of the Past Weekend!
Last weekend, the Shades of the Past car show in Marshall was buzzing with excitement as 330 vehicles drove into town, drawing crowds of eager onlookers.
Enthusiasts and car aficionados enjoyed the adrenaline-fueled spectacle, witnessing a showcase of speed and style like never before.
A standout moment came when the Timber 150 truck seized the spotlight, earning the coveted Best Truck Award at the 2024 show. Its rugged yet refined design, coupled with impeccable performance, left judges and attendees in awe, solidifying its reputation as a true champion on the road.
Tragic Collision in Redwood County
On Monday, June 3, a fatal incident occurred at the intersection of MN Hwy 68 and Redwood CR 6 in Redwood County. The collision involved a tractor-trailer traveling eastbound on MN Hwy 68 and a pickup truck heading northbound on Redwood CR 6.
The pickup truck was struck by the tractor-trailer in the intersection.
Regrettably, the driver of the pickup truck lost their life in the accident. Three passengers in the pickup truck, ages 4, 2, and 1 sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the Redwood hospital.
The driver of the tractor-truck also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and received medical attention at the Redwood hospital.
The road condition at the time of the incident was reported as dry.
This tragic incident serves as a solemn reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for caution while navigating intersections.
Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones affected by this event.
