Summer Fun at Granite Falls Makers Market: Crafts, Music, and More!
June is just around the corner and the Granite Area Arts Council is gearing up for the fourth annual Makers Market series!
Mark your calendars for June 6, July 11, and August 1. Each market runs from 5-8 PM. Visitors can expect a lively atmosphere with live music and a variety of local vendors offering unique, handmade items. The live performance for upcoming Makers Market on June 6th will be by Traveled Ground.
Plus check out just a short selection of items you will find at Makers Market:
Creative notebooks and planners
Upcycled and handmade beaded items
3D printed forms and fidgets
Delicious roasted nuts
Honey products
Wild Roots with locally foraged jams and teas

Get Ready for Detours: Highway 59 Project Kicks Off in July 2024

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is set to begin significant repairs on Highway 59 south of Marshall and Garvin in July 2024.
This project, expected to wrap up by October 2024. It includes concrete repairs and updates to sidewalks and pedestrian crossings to meet ADA standards.
For the segment south of Marshall, a five-week detour will be in place. The section south of Garvin will take approximately seven weeks, with potential overlapping of work.
The $4.4 million project aims to enhance road smoothness and accessibility, benefiting both drivers and pedestrians.
