Minnesota Approves CapX 2020 High-Voltage Circuit Addition
The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission has approved Xcel Energy's project to add a second high-voltage circuit to the CapX 2020 transmission line in Lincoln and Lyon counties.
Starting in June, this upgrade will enhance wind energy utilization in southwest Minnesota.
The new circuit will extend from Brookings County, South Dakota, to Dakota County, Minnesota, with completion expected by 2025.
The existing transmission route and customer power supply will remain unaffected.
Redwood Falls Veterans Cemetery to Host Memorial Day Ceremony
The Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Redwood Falls will hold a Memorial Day ceremony on Sunday, May 26th, to honor fallen service members.
The event will begin with live music at 1:30 PM, followed by the official ceremony at 2:00 PM.
The program includes military honor guards, music, and a guest speaker. Attendees are advised to bring lawn chairs and carpool due to expected high attendance.
Artificial flowers are allowed on graves from May 17 to June 6, with fresh flowers permitted anytime.
