15-Year-Old Drowns at Brown County Park

A 15-year-old male from Mountain Lake drowned at Mound Creek County Park in Brown County on Sunday, May 12.

Authorities were notified around 3:30 PM that the teenager had disappeared underwater while swimming. First responders arrived fast, but despite their efforts, the boy was declared dead shortly after 5:30 PM.

His remains were sent to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

This is the second drowning of a teen from Mountain Lake in a month, with a previous incident occurring at Eagle Lake in April. Emergency responders from multiple local areas assisted at the scene.
